Contact A Family Scotland’s new 2-year project sets out to ensure families of young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities have what they need to make them confident, informed, active participants in planning and supporting the transition from school into adult life.

Contact A Family Scotland are trying to involve as many parents, carers and young people as possible in a national conversation about the information most useful to them, and how they can best access it wherever they live and whatever their support needs.

The result will be a new resource, produced with the support of the Scottish Government, that will improve the experiences of all families and young people preparing for one of the biggest steps they will ever take.

Contact A Family Scotland would like to ask for your help in making as many families as possible aware of the project, and encouraging them to join in, in whatever way suits them.

You can do this by:

  • Sharing information and updates on a group Facebook page, if you have one
  • Promoting the regional events and online forums to help people take part
  • Tweeting about the project
  • Adding a paragraph to a website or online noticeboard
  • Including a short article in a newsletter or magazine

If you would like to be kept up to date as the project develops, please contact Tracy Francis to subscribe to the mailing list.
