Pennie will chair Impact: the 3rd Health and Social Care Integration Event on Monday 20th May in Glasgow.
The ALLIANCE are delighted to welcome back Pennie Taylor as the chair of this year’s Annual Conference, Impact: the 3rd Health and Social Care Integration Event which will take place on Monday 20th May at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
Our 2019 conference will aim to represent the integration of health and social care in its approach, and this year will focus on the theme of ‘Impact’. Delegates will represent a broad cross sector of Scottish society with an interest in health and social care, including the third sector, health and social care providers and, most importantly, people who access support and services.
Pennie Taylor is an award-winning freelance journalist and broadcaster who specialises in health and care issues. A passionate promoter of the vital work undertaken by ALLIANCE members, she was BBC Scotland’s first Health Correspondent and has also worked on the newsdesks of a number of national newspapers. A former Head of Communications for a large NHS Trust, Pennie has inside knowledge of how public services work, giving her an informed perspective from which to approach and stimulate debate.
We are delighted to also welcome Reece Harding, MSYP , Jeane Freeman MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport and Iona Colvin, Chief Social Work Adviser and Natalie Masterson, Chief Executive of Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise as speakers at this year’s event.
