The organisation is currently recruiting for three posts to help change lives through music.

Playlist for Life are looking for applications for their new job openings for Communities Officer, P/T Head of Comms and Campaigns and Administrator/ PA to the CEO.

Communities Officer – £25-30k per annum

A wonderful opportunity to join a groundbreaking charity at an exciting time. Playlist for Life is expanding to deliver ambitious plans for growth over the next three years.

Are you well organised? Do you have experience in training or community development? Are you interested in music and the part it plays in all our lives? Then you could be part of the Operations Team working and supporting local community organisations to establish 1,500 Help Points around the UK.

We want to revolutionise dementia care through music. We want everyone with dementia to have a unique playlist of songs that make up ‘the soundtrack to their life’. And we want everyone who loves and cares for them to know how to use that playlist to help manage symptoms, alleviate distress and reconnect relationships.

P/T Head of Comms and Campaigns – £35-40k pro rata

  • Are you a skilled and experienced Communications expert?
  • Are you looking for a chance to use your skills and experience in a different way?
  • Would you like to revolutionise the way people for dementia are looked after by making music a standard part of care?

This new post will develop and implement a vibrant, interactive communications strategy to raise awareness of the power of personal music and support the growth of our grassroots network across the UK. Reporting direct to the CEO, the postholder will be a senior member of the existing staff team and will have the opportunity to grow the Comms team further.

You must be as comfortable speaking to a volunteer in a local community centre as you are speaking to a senior executive in the music industry or BBC – and you need to see the role both those people could play in delivering Playlist for Life’s vision and communication strategy.

You will be able to demonstrate substantial experience in communications and campaign planning; exceptional written and verbal communication skills for different audiences; and the ability to lead a team to deliver a communications plan across media channels for the short, medium and long-term.

Administrator/ PA to the CEO – £23.5k per annum

A wonderful opportunity to join a groundbreaking charity at an exciting time. Playlist for Life is expanding to deliver ambitious plans for growth over the next three years.

We are looking for a well-organised, skilled administrator to help the whole team work more effectively and to provide dedicated support to our busy CEO.  You will have a minimum of five years’ experience in an administrative role and be able to demonstrate experience in:

  • Diary management, arranging internal and external meetings
  • Dealing with incoming emails and calls
  • Assisting with the coordination of events and handling all related administration
  • Ordering offices supplies and procurement of stationery

This is an excellent opportunity for a PA/Administrator to become a key member of a creative and committed team that aims to revolutionise dementia care through music. Candidates applying should have excellent interpersonal skills, strong IT skills and a good communication with good written and oral skills.
