The ARMSS project (this link will take you away from this website), run by Revive MS Support, has received £50,000 of funding from the Health Improvement Scotland Improvement Fund. This funding will contribute to the backfilling of staff time to allow them to deliver remote service through the use of video consultation technology. ARMSS aims to be an online consultation service that will increase the geographical spread of the people accessing Revive, decrease the number of missed/cancelled appointments due to accessibility issues and increase the overall number of referrals taken.
The funding from the Improvement Fund joins a wide array of support for the project. The 1 year Pilot Project has already received £10,000 from the Big Lottery which funded work with Indigo Project Solutions to scope the project. Furthermore, a project dedicated MS Nurse is being provided by a Biogen Indec grant.
The ALLIANCE has supported Revive MS Support in applying to the Improvement Fund as well as facilitating a partnership with the Scottish Centre for Telehealth and Telecare who will be working with the project to provide the technology. The service design element of the project will be supported by the Digital Health and Care Institute. The pilot is to take place in North Lanarkshire in close partnership with NHS Lanarkshire.
