This year's Scottish Young Carers Festival will take place between 29 July and 2 August.
The event is funded by the Scottish Government and is managed by Carers Trust Scotland in partnership with the Scottish Young Carers Services Alliance.
The Scottish Young Carers Festival provides a place for fun and respite with those who share a lived experience. But it is also an opportunity for young people to share their experiences through the consultation space and speak with key decision makers through the invited guests’ program.
A number of Scottish Government Ministers are confirmed to attend, alongside a range of MSPs from different parties.
The organisers are also training up a group of young carers to be onsite media ambassadors and undertake peer interviews during the event.
In advance of the event, an online survey is in operation to ask about if young carers have noticed a difference to the support they receive or are offered since the implementation of the Carers (Scotland) Act.
