The ALLIANCE is encouraging its partners and supporters to sign up to an amendment to the "Brexit" legislation.
Later this month, MPs in the House of Commons will begin to debate a series of changes proposed to the EU Withdrawal Bill.
The ALLIANCE, alongside Camphill Scotland, Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS), the Genetic Alliance UK, Inclusion Scotland, Scottish Care and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO), has been working with Joanna Cherry MP and Dr Philippa Whitford MP to table an amendment that will require an independent evaluation of the impact of the EU Withdrawal Bill upon the health and social care sector.
This follows the results of an ALLIANCE member survey in 2016 which highlighted the potential loss of EU funding in the health and social care sector in Scotland.
If you would be interested in signing up in support of the amendment contact Andrew Strong, Assistant Director (Policy and Communications) at the ALLIANCE by email at: email@example.com on or before Friday 10 November 2017. The short timescale is so that we can ensure it is noted in the briefing note ahead of debate later this month.
