REACH Community Health Project (SCIO) are offering a 6 week certified course on digital skills.
REACH Community Health Project (this link will take you away from our website) is a national third sector organisation with a key strategic role in improving the health, wellbeing and health care provision of Ethnic Minority (EM) communities in Scotland.
There are 3 main outcomes that will measure progress in this digital skills course:
- Identifying and using different forms of social media, both for personal and professional use Identifying information online, which includes internet security, reliable information and use of search engines
- Using digital devices – participants will gain skills in using both tablets and laptops, which can include file management
- Office skills.
There is no requirement for participants to have previous IT qualifications.
There is a test at the end of the course that will be used as evidence for the SQA (this link will take you away from our website) qualification.
To be eligible for this course you must be able to provide the most up to date proof of income, currently NOT be in education and have a basic grasp of English.
