#TryAToolTuesday launch and 2023 roundup

The Discover Digital team at the ALLIANCE launched #TryAToolTuesday in September 2023.
The aim of #TryAToolTuesday is to raise awareness of free and trusted apps and resources to help people improve and manage their health and wellbeing.
In 2023, the team shared a free and trusted digital tool that supports health and wellbeing every week on @DHCScot X (formerly Twitter).
We are excited that this initiative will continue into 2024! Don’t worry if you missed #TryAToolTuesday in 2023, here is a roundup of last year’s posts.
- TellMi – an award-winning app for young people aged 11-25. Where they can anonymously speak about their mental health. More info here.
- Sleepio – a clinically proven and structured programme to help with Insomnia. More info here.
- NHS Inform – where you can access trusted health information in Scotland. More info here.
- Daylight – a clinically proven and structured programme to help manage stress and anxiety. More info here.
- ALISS – a platform that connects you to services, groups and activities in your area related to health and wellbeing. More info here.
- Jointly – an app designed by carers by carers. With group messaging and to-do lists, medication lists, calendar and more. More info here.
- Breathing Space – a free, confidential phone and web based service for people in Scotland experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety. More info here.
- Purple Alert app – a community minded app for people with dementia if they are missing. More info here.
- My Diabetes My Way – the Scotland interactive diabetes website to help support people who have diabetes and their family and friends. More info here.
- NHS Near Me – a video consulting service that enables people to attend appointments from home or wherever is convenient. More info here.
- Brothers in Arms Blethr – is designed to help males aged 18 to understand and explore their feelings and emotions. More info here.
- NHS Mind to Mind – find out how you can improve your mental wellbeing by hearing what others have found helpful. More info here.
- Silvercloud – a structured programme that focuses on supporting your wellbeing, including managing your mental health, resilience, stress and sleep. More info here.
