Volunteering Support Fund 2021-24 now open for applications

Organisations with annual incomes below £250,000 can apply for grants of up to £30,000.

The Scottish Government’s Volunteering Support Fund for the period 2021-24 has recently opened for applications. Administered by Impact Funding Partners, a total of £3.3 million is available to support small and medium sized third sector organisations recruit volunteers.

Applicants should aim to recruit 36 volunteers, including 13 who experience disadvantage. Amongst the areas of disadvantage this funding round focuses on are:

  • People experiencing mental health issues
  • Disabled people
  • People living with long term conditions
  • Carers
  • People from ethnic minority backgrounds

The total maximum funding of £30,000 available is split into £4,000 for the remainder of 2021-22 and £13,000 for each of the following two years. Funding is intended to increase diversity, improve governance, and enhance capacity in the successful organisations.

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on 27 August 2021. Decisions are expected to be made by 29 October 2021.
