The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (The RPS) is consulting on its statement on the role of the pharmacist and they want to hear from you.

The RPS is the professional membership body for pharmacists and pharmacy across the UK and seeks to advance the profession of pharmacy and improve the health of the public. According to the RPS, describing how the pharmacist’s unique role contributes to healthcare and society now and how it will develop and be applied further in the next five years is essential in order to define the breadth of knowledge, experience and contribution as well as the varied scope of the pharmacists role.

The statement seeks to support selection, education, training and professional development of pharmacists as well as plan the future pharmacy workforce. It includes reference to six core attributes and abilities it believes should be unique to their profession.

You can have your say on the statement in an RPS survey (this link will take you away from our website). This should be completed by Monday 5 March 2018.
