Support people with melanoma and their families

Melanoma Action and Support Scotland (MASScot) is Scotland’s only dedicated skin cancer charity. They offer patient-to-patient support for individuals with all types of skin cancer and their carers.
Skin cancers are mainly treated at outpatient clinics, MASScot provides those who require it counselling and hypnotherapy close to home. All fees are paid directly by MASScot.
In 2009, MASScot were involved in successfully campaigning for regulation of sunbed use. They continue to raise awareness of the effects of UV Radiation in schools, public events, in the media, via social media and in the Scottish Parliament.
As of 2017, MASScot has reached over 40,000 children in schools across Scotland with their sun safety education programme.
They do not accept grants from pharmaceutical companies – all funding comes from grants and donations.
