Community, Engagement and Partnerships

ALISS is based on collaboration and participation, and so works best when people get involved.
We work with a range of local and national partners across Scotland, including community groups and associations, third sector organisations, and statutory agencies, as well as individual citizens and professionals. ALISS enables people to work together to make information more widely available and easily findable through a variety of channels while also reducing both the duplication of information and effort that is often involved in developing and maintaining directories and databases.
ALISS engagement activities and tools include:
• Community roadshows and workshops
• Training for prospective ALISS editors
• Toolkits and resources
• Networking and learning events
