A tool to allow people to receive links to online information relevant to their health.

Demo the tool at the following link: PocketGP (This link will take you away from our website).

The Advice and Information tool (referred to as ‘PocketGP’ in the Online Codesign phase) was initially meant to enable people to ‘replay’ the advice from their GP consultations and also allow them to receive links to online information relevant to their health. People could:

  • make recordings summarising the advice from their GP consultation and save these for playback as audio (or with the audio ‘converted’ into text for reading)
  • receive and save weblinks to relevant and trusted online health information and local support services

Further to the feedback we have received, the recording feature has been momentarily parked and we are now pursuing a tool that only utilises the other feature.

As announced in our latest updated, People-powered GP digital solutions move forward, Advice and Information will be developed by NHS24 drawing, for example, on NHS Inform content.
