The Children and Young People Community of Practice (CoP) is a vibrant community created as an inclusive space where passionate individuals from across the children and young people sector can connect, collaborate and share their valuable insights.
At the heart of the CoP, is a commitment to fostering a supportive environment designed by and for its members. During out launch event in 2023, members were asked what there vision for the CoP could be:
“The Children and Young People Community of Practice is a safe space to bring together professionals and volunteers within the children and young people sector with a shared interest, respecting individual views, values and ideas. A space to learn, collaborative and network with one another. A social movement to help drive positive change for the benefit of children and young people and improve support and services.
We are keen for the Community of Practice to continually grow and welcome people to get involved.”
Membership of the CoP is flexible, understanding the demands of your work and changing capacities. The current plan involves quarterly, two hour meetings, with the next session scheduled for Thursday 12th December, 10am – 12pm, online. Developing session plans collaboratively with members who can contribute their time to planning the event.

Once you have expressed your interest, you’ll be invited to all future meetings and the MS Teams space, where you’ll receive all the latest information and be part of this inspiring community.
