At the 130 day mark since COVID-19 forced Scotland into an unprecedented lockdown, the virus and the pandemic has changed everything including ways of working and reaching communities. However, the importance of person centred care has never been more important.<\/p>\n
The Carer Voices project has marked 130 days of working remotely by looking back on some of the key achievements and impact made during the last few months in their response to COVID.<\/p>\n
Project Lead, Tommy Whitelaw shared: \u201cOne of the key aspects of our Carer Voices project has been our outreach and engagement over the last years reaching 200,000 people at 950 talks and collecting 30,000 what matters to you pledges and stories from health and social professionals and students. Creating a platform for carers and families to share experiences as highlighted in our new published impact report. With COVID and Government guidelines and restrictions, as a team we have adapted quickly to keep partnership working and people at the heart of all that we do. Our COVID response for the first 130 days I hope highlights that people are at the centre of the work of the Carer Voices team. It\u2019s always about people and relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n
