Wishaw General – people, places, pledges, kindness and cake

Type: Pledge

The Dementia Carer Voices team were delighted to finish off the year with a final talk at Wishaw General Hospital

Tommy, Laura and Will headed over to Wilshaw General Hospital for the 4th of 4 talks over the last few weeks, including a staff Induction day a few weeks back.

This was talk 667 and final talk of our Make a Difference Campaign of 2017.

We were so honoured to be invited by our great friend Gillian McAuley, Chief Nurse at Wilshaw, Janice Milne and colleagues to visit again and end our tour with our great friends at NHS Lanarkshire.

Gillian has been a brilliant support to our work and earlier this year joined Tommy for a joint session to speak with 240 Nursing Students at UWS Hamilton

We are so inspired by the brilliant work at Wishaw and across Lanarkshire to make a difference every day for people, families, carers and staff and very honoured to end the 2017 leg of tour there.

We had a brilliant afternoon meeting everyone sharing stories, filling the hospital Christmas tree with kindness pledge and having a dance.

Thank you Wishaw for a brilliant afternoon celebrating people, kindness, pledges, cake and a perfect final talk of 2017.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all the team at DCV 🙂
