This is impacting on the ability to deliver high quality public services. The ALLIANCE works towards a Fair Finance approach to policy development and budget setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our work in this area relates to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alliance-scotland.org.uk\/policy-and-research\/policy\/fair-finance\/budgeting-and-public-finances\/\">budget and public finances<\/a> more generally, including advocating for the principles of human rights budgeting to be embedded throughout the process. We engage in more detail with the development of Scotland&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alliance-scotland.org.uk\/policy-and-research\/policy\/fair-finance\/social-security\/\">social security<\/a> system, including the ongoing rollout of Social Security Scotland payments and future reform. We have also consistently called for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alliance-scotland.org.uk\/policy-and-research\/policy\/fair-finance\/third-sector-funding\/\">fair funding for the Third Sector<\/a>, that is sustainable, predictable and inclusive of annual uplifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ALLIANCE publishes reports, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alliance-scotland.org.uk\/blog\/news\/stretched-to-the-limit\/\">such as our 2023 &#8216;Stretched to the Limit&#8217; report on the third sector<\/a>, and engages with the Scottish Government and Scottish Parliament through mechanisms including pre-budget scrutiny and consultations to advance the Fair Finance agenda.
