The ALLIANCE supports the National Audiology Review

Commissioned by the Scottish Government the ALLIANCE reaches out to individuals to help improve Audiology services provided across Scotland.
In January 2022, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care announced that a national audiology review group would be established to examine hearing services provided to both children and adults in health boards across Scotland, as well as to make recommendations on improvements for the service.
The ALLIANCE has been assigned to connect with people across Scotland to hear first hand opinions and reviews. Janis McDonald, Associate Director at the ALLIANCE commented on the review:
“I very much welcome this Review. This is a great opportunity for the people of Scotland to collaborate on the future of audiology and influence positive change.”
As part of this engagement work there will be an opportunity to complete an online survey by the end of January. There will also be the option to join three virtual focus groups running in February: Saturday 4, Tuesday 7, Thursday 9.
