Multiple Sclerosis Centre, Mid Argyll were awarded £120,000 in July 2024 to run their project for 36 months
A three year project to develop a programme of peer led, peer support activities for people with a range of long term conditions, with a particular focus on supporting people who are unable to leave their homes to engage with and lead activities. As the project aims to develop increased peer leadership in existing services before expanding, the project hopes to develop learning around developing peer support in existing and new services, and supporting people who cannot leave the home to take a leading role in projects. The project also hopes to learn the degree that this activity is effective at reducing risk factors particularly with reference to mental health.
