Aberdeen Foyer was awarded £119,092.99 in June 2025 to run their project for 30 months
A 30 month project to provide on-site therapeutic support to on remand prisoners at HMP Grampian, through a mix of 1:1 and peer group works. The funding term includes a period of engagement and development and the project overall will be educated by participants through regular engagement such as, focus groups and surveys.
Learning will be gained through a better understanding of the needs of prisoners on remand and how best to engage them in support, the experience of working in partnership with HMP Grampian, and broader stakeholders, in delivering the project. The ways participants choose to engage in the differing support offers, the impact the work has on participants wellbeing and development of self management skills, as well as any patterns that might emerge where the work is identified as being successful.
