The Teapot Trust were awarded £48,967.50 in June 2025 to run their project for 36 months
A 36 month project to develop and deliver a new peer support programme for young people awaiting diagnosis or intervention related to a Rheumatological condition, bringing together elements of youth work and art therapy. Delivery will incorporate a period of coproduction with young people, families and professionals, a piloting of the approach followed by a wider rollout. The work hopes to also produce a toolkit to support young people in similar circumstances as part of the legacy of the project.
Learning will be gained through understanding the needs identified in co-production, the impact the combination of youth work and art therapy has, when considered against Teapot Trust’s usual delivery model, the degree to which the activity reduces stress and supports wellbeing while waiting, and through understanding the degree to which the activity could be replicated with other conditions.
