Providing information, support & advocacy to women, children & young people fleeing from or living with domestic abuse.

The Women Against Violence Eastend Project (WAVE) supports women, children, and young people (WCHYP) who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse. Our services include emotional, psychological, practical, financial, and crisis support to empower and assist those in need.

WAVE supports women’s psychological health and well being by offering an inclusive and accessible service. We work to break down barriers by supporting women facing additional challenges, including addiction, complex PTSD, mental health conditions, disabilities, and those from BME and LGBT communities. Our support services include drop-in sessions and crisis intervention.

WAVE engages in a collaborative approach at local level, including Health, Police, Social Work services, Education, Housing Providers and voluntary/ community organisations. This is to ensure the services and safety of WCHYP are improved through coordinated multiagency working and training provision.

We continue to challenge the patriarchal structures that perpetuate inequality in our society and raise awareness on the issue of domestic abuse, to promote attitudinal change and influence the policy and practice of agencies.

WAVE aims to eradicate all forms of abuse towards women, children, and young people.
