Substances Support Scotland was awarded £150,000 in June 2026 to run their project for 24 months
Steady Steps is a planned, self management and stabilisation project to be delivered by Substances Support Scotland across Fife. The project will offer up to five weeks of early self management and stabilisation support for people seeking help for problematic alcohol or drugs use. This will include a full assessment of needs and practical, enabling support to help people manage their interrelated circumstances. Support may include accompaniment to housing, welfare, health or other essential appointments, alongside techniques for managing immediate risks and building confidence.
