Getting it right for every child (GIRFEC) Training

Our Children and Young People Programme offers CPD-accredited GIRFEC training to professionals across Scotland.

The training aims to increase knowledge and understanding of GIRFEC and support professionals to embed its principles into their practice. It explores how GIRFEC can be used to support the wellbeing of children and young people and promote a more coordinated, child-centred approach across services.

Scottish Sensory Hub

The ALLIANCE Scottish Sensory Hub (SSH) is Scotland’s only cross-sensory coordination body for people who are Deaf, Deafblind, or who have Visual Impairments.

Our inclusive communication, sensory awareness and sighted guide training helps organisations meet their legal duties (in line with the Equality Act 2010) and build genuinely accessible practice. Whether that’s improving website or office accessibility, supporting event planning, or adapting how you contact people and track communication support requirements, our training can help.

Digital Health and Social Care

Discover Digital

The ALLIANCE’s Discover Digital project raises awareness of digital tools which promote health and wellbeing.

Our workshops are a great way for organisations, staff teams and front-line support staff to build skills and confidence in digital health and care. Workshops aim to increase participants’ knowledge and understanding of digital health and social care and how to access trusted digital support tools. It can be delivered as an informative session or as a practical learning session.

Digital Health and Social Care Human Rights Principles

Human rights are core to how we plan, deliver and evaluate our digital services.

Our online training session offers an overview of how organisations/professionals can achieve a rights based approach in their digital role and design of health and social care services to deliver a quality digital experience. The training works through our five human rights principles, relating each to Digital Scotland’s Service Standards and highlights good practice examples for each, to illustrate what it looks like in practice.

ALISS (A Local Information System for Scotland)
