DIFFERabled Scotland were awarded £14,480 in June 2025 to run their project for 10 months
A 10-month project to develop a programme of support targeted at adults recently identified with a neurodivergent/developmental condition (add, adhd, dyspraxia, ocd, dyslexia) and/or awaiting assessment. Meeting fortnightly the group will engage in a range of social activities and structured training aimed at deepening an understanding of their condition, ways of identifying and requesting additional support, and building self management skills and tools including the development of communication passports.
Learning will be gained through a deeper understanding of the support needs of adults adapting/exploring a new ND Condition, the ways in which participants wish to use the space, understanding the effectiveness of communication passports and a tool for supporting people to advocate for further support, and the impact of the different workshops on people’s understanding and self management.
