Enable were awarded £119,945 in September 2023 to run their project for 36 months.
The funded project, will develop a Self-Management Approach to Support Planning empowering unpaid carers to get the right support for the person they care for using a clear, systematic approach to support planning as well as accessing support via digital resources and community.
Unpaid carers and disabled people will co-develop and evaluate the Self-Management Approach to Support Planning to ensure a sustainable approach that carers can use independently beyond the life of the project, available to unpaid carers as a free resource online, supporting improved self-management and planning outcomes.
