PAMIS were awarded £76,573 in July 2024 to run their project for 36 months

A three year project to work alongside carers to develop and deliver a new programme of moving and handling training for carers. Year 1 will focus on developing and engaging with an advisory group with training delivered in years 2 and three. The project aims to develop learning around how demands on and needs of carers have changed post pandemic, and understanding the topics carers themselves consider a priority. How effective attempts to incorporate learning from previous postural care work is, and the degree to which training can reduce the risk of injury or damage to either the carer or cared for person.
