The Scottish Union of Supported Employment were awarded £118,588 in July 2024 to run their project for 36 months

A three year project, to develop a Phone based app to support people with long term conditions to self monitor their wellbeing, and support them to maintain their employment by providing a searchable resource of sources of support. The funding period will cover the development alongside a lived experience panel as well as several stages of testing and improvement with larger groups of users. The project aims to gain learning around what works, the issues people face in maintaining employment and hopes to learn whether patterns can be identified in when support is required, that might impact the planning phase of work preparedness. Across the lifespan of the grant SUSE hope to develop an understanding of the benefits of the app for people who do not consider themselves to have a long term condition as a tool for supporting people’s early identification of need and supporting them to access support.
