SWAN (Scottish Women’s Autism Network)

SWAN were awarded of £119,818 in September 2023 to run their project for 36 months.

The funded project will build communities of autistic women across Scotland though local, autistic-led groups for women to come together for information, wellbeing activities, peer support and connection.
Groups will be facilitated by autistic volunteers who will be trained and supported by the autistic Volunteer Coordinator.
Working from a self-management and autistic-led perspective, SWAN will enable each local group of autistic women to organise their own group and identify the activities they need to support their own
health and wellbeing – including peer support, outdoor activities, social meet-ups, learning new skills, etc.
