Meeting Centres Scotland is a member of the ALLIANCE.

Meeting Centres are an innovative and evidence-based model of community dementia support that originated in the Netherlands and are now developing worldwide. Meeting Centres provide a warm and friendly social space where people with dementia, their care partners, and families can meet others, engage in meaningful activities, and receive personalised support from trained staff and volunteers. Meeting Centres have been shown to improve the well-being, adjustment, and social inclusion of people with dementia and their care partners and to reduce the need for formal care and hospitalisation.
