A public library serving the residents and visitors to the Shetland Isles.

We offer many services to the community such as:

• Promoting reading, literacy and learning
• Promoting digital inclusion
• Promote economic well being
• Promote culture and creativity
• Promote libraries as excellent public services for people of all ages

The library is a service for everyone in Shetland and looks to help those who are less resilient, such as those in low incomes/benefits and who may feel isolated.
