The ALLIANCE has published a series of midterm reports summarising the findings of our ongoing Brexit consultation

The ALLIANCE is currently engaging in a series of Town Hall Conversations to ascertain local communities’ views on Brexit. We really want to give you a voice and discover what matters to you.

To date we have conducted three events in Govan, Falkirk and Aberdeen. Each has begun with a presentation from a Scottish Government representative (Michael Russell MSP in Govan, Fiona Hyslop in Falkirk and Maureen Watt in Aberdeen) which has been followed by a question and answer session. These were then followed by table discussions, where people were allowed to freely express their opinions on Brexit and its potential impact on their local community.

Opinions shared at these events will be summarised in an ALLIANCE report to be published in July. This will then be submitted to Scottish Government Ministers which will feed directly into negotiations at a national level, demonstrating that the opinions of local communities in Scotland do matter.

In the meantime, three reports from each of the events so far are available to read below.

Key themes include accessibility of information, fracking, European funding and a potential impact on the third sector.
