Future of Social Care – Inclusion and young people in the National Care Service
As Scotland heads towards a new National Care Service, the ALLIANCE’s “Future of Social Care” series will be investigating some of the key issues at play. In this episode, ALLIANCE Senior Policy Officer Dr Hannah Tweed interviews Meg Thomas, Head of Research, Policy & Participation at includem. They discuss includem’s work supporting children, young people and families, what can stop them from accessing services, and the need to design a National Care Service that works for those facing the biggest barriers in society.
Exploring the needs, experiences and relationships in health and social care
Louise Henderson, Lecturer at Robert Gordon University within the Nursing programme, speaks to ALLIANCE Policy and Membership Development Officer, Jennifer Stewart in this ALLIANCE Live Five. Louise shares insights learned from RGU’s study into the role of interpersonal connections and supportive relationships within service users, carers and staff’s experiences of Health and Social Care integration.
