Children’s Health Scotland are looking for nominations for their annual awards.
The Scottish Children’s Health Awards exist to celebrate courageous children and young people, and those who are making a difference to their health and wellbeing.
Helen Forrest, Chief Executive for Children’s Health Scotland, said: “The Scottish Children’s Health Awards are a lovely opportunity to recognise how brave children and young people with health conditions are and to appreciate the amazing people and organisations in the children’s health sector. We are delighted that once again Journalist and TV Presenter, Catriona Shearer, will interview all the winners to share their stories whilst helping us to present the awards at our My Health, My Rights Conference on 9 September 2022 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh.”
Nominations are FREE and open to everyone and you have until 5.00pm on Friday 15 July 2022 to nominate someone special. There are six award categories which are listed below:
- Children’s Choice Award
- Health and Wellbeing Award
- Healthcare Rights Award
- Health-Related Play Award
- Improving Life Experiences Award
- Young Achiever Award
This year includes the introduction of a new category – The Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is not open to public nominations and will be presented to a health professional who, in the judges’ opinions, has made outstanding contributions to the health and wellbeing of children and young people.
So, do you know someone special who deserves a very exclusive Teddy Award? Then find out more and make your nominations on the Scottish Children’s Health Awards page (this link will take you away from our website).
