Support deaf women in reporting domestic abuse and empower them to seek help and justice
Join East Dunbartonshire Violence Against Woman and Girls partnership event, 16 Days of Action, which focuses on supporting deaf women in reporting domestic abuse.
This in-person gathering aims to provide a safe space for sharing experiences, learning about resources, and gaining the confidence to speak up.
The event will explore:
- Deaf women’s experience of domestic abuse
- Reporting domestic abuse to the police
- Recommendations from Justsigns 2 and Silent Harm research.
All members of the public and practitioners are welcome.
BSL/English interpreters, Tactile Signers, and Electronic Notetakers will be provided.
