For Menopause Month in October, the ALLIANCE and Scottish Government have brought together all our resources on menopause in one pack.
October is Menopause Awareness Month , with World Menopause held every year on 18th October to raise awareness of menopause and encourage open and supportive discussion on symptoms, treatment options and available support.
As part of our Women’s Health programme, the ALLIANCE has regularly highlighted experiences of menopause and raised awareness of symptoms, treatment options and the support that is available. Over the last couple of years we’ve produced several resources and hosted a number of events on menopause.
Our Menopause Month Resource Pack brings these resources together in one place. You can find information videos, recordings of past webinars, information sheets, and graphics. You can also find information about NHS Inform’s Women’s Health Platform which includes a range of resources and guides on menopause.
You can use the resources in this World Menopause Month Pack to:
- Learn more about menopause, including symptoms, treatments and self management options
- Share with friends, family, colleagues and employers to help them understand your menopausal experience and how they can support you
- Host a World Menopause Day (18 October) event in your workplace or community
- Share on social media to raise awareness and keep the conversation going
Download the resource pack as a PDF here.
All resources have been produced in collaboration with the Scottish Government and in support of the Women’s Health Plan, and have been clinically reviewed by health professionals.
NOTES
[1] The Women’s Health Plan and the ALLIANCE’s programme uses the term ‘women/woman’ throughout but it is important to highlight that it is not only those who identify as women who require access to gynaecology and reproductive health services. All healthcare services should be respectful and responsive to individual needs.
