Civil Society Working Group on Incorporation: 2026 Election Manifesto Launch
- Type: Event
- Date: 30/10/2025 at 4:00pm - 5:00pm
- Location: Online

Joint manifesto calls on the next Scottish Parliament to make progress on human rights incorporation.
Scotland needs a strong and clear framework for protecting fundamental rights to promote social inclusion, reduce discrimination and support access to essential services. Against a concerning backdrop of regression on human rights in the UK and globally, the next Scottish Government and Parliament have the opportunity, and the responsibility, to reset the direction of travel in Scotland.
Join us on October 30 as the Civil Society Working Group on Incorporation launches our joint manifesto on how to back human rights as we enter the next Parliament. The manifesto focuses on:
- Introducing a Scottish Human Rights Bill
- Strengthening the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) Act
- Addressing barriers to accessing justice
More information on the Civil Society Working Group:
The Civil Society Working Group on Incorporation (CSWG) was established in 2019 by Amnesty International and the Human Rights Consortium Scotland. The CSWG represents organisations that campaign for people in Scotland to have their human rights respected, protected and fulfilled in line with international standards. The ALLIANCE are members of the CSWG and provided input into the manifesto.
