The Visual Impairment Network for Children and Young People (VINCYP) are holding a one-day, in-person course on Friday 21 November 2025

This course offers an introduction and overview of childhood Visual Impairment.

The course is aimed at:

  • Healthcare professionals involved in paediatric care
  • Education and third sector employees new to the field of childhood Visual Impairment.

Topics include:

  • The function of the eye
  • The role of vision in development
  • Common developmental conditions
  • Causes of childhood Visual Impairment
  • The diagnostic process.

Fee: £60 – lunch will be provided.

Where: Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh
