This session will explore the 'Civility Saves Lives' initiative and share evidence around positive and negative behaviours at work.

Leading to Change complements leadership development and support at local levels for the health, social work and social care workforces in the public, independent and third sectors.

In this Leading to Change webinar, participants will hear from Dr Joseph Farmer MRCPsych and explore Civility Saves Lives, a clinician-led project focused on promoting positive behaviours in the workplace. The webinar will explain the evidence behind civility and incivility at work, and how these behaviours affect individual performance, teamwork, and outcomes.

Participants will also learn how compassionate leadership and psychological safety can support better conversations, especially during times of pressure. The session will include discussions on practical steps leaders can take when they observe incivility in their organisations.

What you’ll take away from this webinar:

  • Understanding the impact of incivility and positive behaviours in the workplace
  • Practical strategies to promote psychological safety and compassionate leadership
  • Ideas for improving team performance and workplace culture
  • Opportunities to connect and share learning with peers across health, social care, and social work
