AbilityNet has announced its new device scheme, in partnership with Lenovo, called ConnectingU.

About the scheme

The project aims to tackle digital exclusion among older adults and disabled people.

It will see 300 devices given out and support made available for those who need help with accessing digital services.

Free training and advice through AbilityNet’s free Tech Support services, including a freephone helpline, online resources and Tech volunteer support, will be made available.

Who can apply

Organisations and charities are invited to apply for devices on behalf of the individuals they support. Individuals cannot apply themselves.

Individuals must:

  • live in the UK and be aged over 50 or
  • live in the UK, be aged over 18 and disabled.
