The ALLIANCE welcomes the publication of the refreshed Strategy and appreciates the opportunity to contribute and comment on it.

The ALLIANCE welcomes the publication of the refreshed Digital Health and Care Strategy – Enabling, Connecting and Empowering: Care in the Digital Age (this link will take you away from our website).

We welcome the strong emphasis that the strategy places on people’s outcomes and their inclusion throughout the design and delivery stages of digital service development, as well as the commitment around producing a delivery plan, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The ALLIANCE feels that it is important to highlight areas that need to be accentuated and developed, especially as we move into a period of important public service reform in social care, underpinning human rights legislation and as we lead recovery in the NHS. Our response highlights particular issues that we felt would benefit from further detail within the anticipated delivery plan.
