ALLIANCE statement on racist and Islamophobic violence

Everyone should feel safe and valued and we stand in solidarity with those who are affected.
The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) condemn the racist and Islamophobic attacks and riots we have witnessed in parts of the UK in recent days.
Racism, Islamophobia and fascism have no place in our society – whether on our streets or online. We stand in solidarity with those from asylum seeking, migrant and minoritised communities who face intimidation, direct harm, or who feel less safe going about their daily lives.
The ALLIANCE are deeply grateful to our staff, members and partners who work tirelessly across Scotland, collaborating with compassion even at the toughest of times. Our vision is a Scotland where everyone has a strong voice and enjoys their right to live well with dignity and respect. Now is the time to stand united.
