Lived experience and peer support driving mental health transformation in Scotland.

Scottish Recovery Network’s new 10-year strategic plan, Catalysts for Change sets out their vision, role, and ambitions for reshaping Scotland’s mental health system over the next decade. It outlines how, through collaboration, we can build a recovery-focused mental health system powered by lived experience and strengthened by peer support.

This represents a significant change in both thinking and practice. Achieving it will take ambition, persistence, and collective effort with lived experience leaders, allies, and system changemakers working together. While challenges are inevitable, they can be overcome to create a mental health system grounded in hope, connection, and recovery.
