ALLIANCE members are invited to share their views and inform our response to proposals for improving healthcare regulation in the UK.

The UK Government is currently seeking views on proposals to reform the regulation of healthcare professionals.  The proposed reforms cover four key areas.  These are:

  • Governance and Operating Framework
  • Education and Training
  • Registration
  • Fitness to Practise

You can read the full consultation document on the UK Government’s website (this link will take you away from our website).

The ALLIANCE are preparing a response to this consultation and would be grateful to get ALLIANCE members’ views on the key points we are considering making, as well as whether there are any additional comments we should make.

Our full Call for Input document is attached below. Comments on the document, or any particular views you would like the ALLIANCE to mention in our response, would be very welcome. These should be sent to Gillian McElroy (gillian.mcelroy@alliance-scotland.org.uk) or Rob Gowans (rob.gowans@alliance-scotland.org.uk) by Thursday 10 June 2021.
