We would like to hear women's thoughts on how a potential reimbursement scheme may work in practice.

In March 2021, the Scottish Government announced plans to introduce legislation to allow those who have undergone private mesh removal surgery to be reimbursed (this link will take you away from our website). The ALLIANCE will be undertaking a short focus group to support work in this area.

We would like to hear your thoughts on how a potential reimbursement scheme may work in practice, as well as the costs that have been incurred and what supporting evidence would be reasonable to provide. If you have had private mesh removal surgery, in the UK or abroad, we would like to invite you to attend a session on Thursday 8 July at 10.30-11.30 via Zoom

At this stage, we are asking for contributions from women who have had mesh removal surgery carried out by an independent provider.

If you would like to attend this focus group please email mesh@alliance-scotland.org.uk
