Publication by Lapidus Scotland celebrates creative approaches to managing long term conditions.

Seven Journeys is an anthology of writing and art inspired by a variety of projects hosted by Lapidus Scotland (this link will take you away from our website), whose aim is to facilitate creative approaches to supporting the self management of long-term conditions, both physical and mental.

The poems, storytelling and artwork contained in these pages reflect the concerns of people facing and responding to the challenges of ill-health. Taking writing and art as an effective form of therapy, the authors and artists explore their personal understanding of the world. The act of creating can often help the individual to make sense of the changes that coping with health issues brings about in them, and this anthology offers timely proof of that.

The works included exhibit bravery, insight, wit and wisdom, and also demonstrate the indomitable spirit of the individual faced with the worst the world can throw at them.

The anthology is edited by Andy Jackson, and has a foreword by Dilys Rose.
