The British Heart Foundation have published a new report on patient's experiences of cardiac rehabilitation

The British Heart Foundation asked over 200 patients from across the UK, between January and June 2022, to volunteer to give their personal experiences of cardiac rehabilitation.

Patients were asked about their experiences of cardiac rehabilitation and how COVID-19 changed the way their support was delivered.

Before the pandemic, the majority of cardiac rehabilitation programmes were delivered face to face in a group setting. These were replaced with home based and digital options, allowing patients to still safely receive rehabilitation away from a clinical setting.
