The Scottish COVID-19 inquiry has published introductory academic research as part of a scoping exercise.

Research published in relation to the health and social care services portfolio outline findings in relation to a number of areas, including:

  • Admission and discharge to care home discharges
  • Investigations of care homes
  • The role of the Care Inspectorate
  • Care home deaths
  • Anticipatory care planning and DNACPR
  • Decision making on the font line of health and social care
  • Lived experience of the pandemic
  • Reduction in home care and support

Reports have also been published across the other portfolio areas: public sector response; financial and welfare support to businesses and individuals; and the delivery of education and certification, impact on children and young people.
