The ALLIANCE's response to an inquiry on vulnerable children in the Coronavirus pandemic by the Education and Skills Committee.
As part of the Getting to Know Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) programme, the ALLIANCE’s Getting to Know GIRFEC team relies on an Advisory Group which meets regularly and comprises of several third sector organisations which work with disabled children and young people, children and young people with long term conditions and complex additional support needs.
The following response is an answer to the Education and Skills Committee’s inquiry on vulnerable children during the COVID-19 outbreak (this link will take you away from our website). It addresses this category of vulnerable children and is based on feedback from our members, the members of the Getting to Know GIRFEC Advisory Group and informed by what they have shared with us. It does not offer a complete picture, but aims to highlight the main concerns which have been raised by them.
