Volunteer Scotland has published its report on the lessons learned from Scotland’s volunteering response to COVID-19.

‘The Road to Recovery’ report published by Volunteer Scotland (this link will take you away from our website) highlights the key lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, applicable to volunteer organisations, local authorities, third sector interfaces (TSIs), the Scottish Government, and others.

Amongst the themes highlighted in the report are:

  • The challenges faced by organisations and how they responded to COVID-19.
  • The impact of new digital platforms, volunteer roles, and systems to support volunteering.
  • The critical role of funding organisations and TSIs.
  • Increased collaboration between organisations.

The report is part of a broader, UK-wide ‘Mobilising UK Voluntary Action’ study (this link will take you away from our website). It will also help inform the Scottish Government’s current Volunteer Action Planning process.
